FAQs

I have a question about one of your products?

Please don’t hesitate to contact me to ask. It’s much better to complete the form on my website rather than drop me a social media DM which I might misplace.

Do you ship internationally?

At the moment I’m just starting out so I’ve not set up my shop to automatically allow international shipping. However, if you are interested in purchasing one of my items and are based outside of the United Kingdom, please do get in touch and I’d be happy to look into it for you. In the meantime, I have a range of PDF versions of my designs available in my shop, you could then purchase the necessary materials local to you.

How long will it take before the item will be posted?

I normally pick, pack and despatch items within 3 days of your order. If, for any reason, my processing time is extended, this will be updated on my shop page. If I’m not able to despatch your order to schedule I will contact you with an update and an estimated timeline. If you have any questions about an order please do not hesitate to contact me.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

I normally post items by second class, Royal Mail are advising their delivery aim for this service is 3 days. If you need an item more quickly, please contact me.

My item hasn’t arrived as expected?

I’m sorry to hear that, once I mark an item as despatched I’m in the hands of Royal Mail. They advise that an item can’t be considered lost until 10 days after the due date so for items posted 2nd class that is 13 working days. If your item hasn’t arrived within this time period, please do contact me and we can find the right solution for you and I will start a claim with Royal Mail.

What happens if my item arrives damaged?

I’m really sorry to hear that. Please do get in touch and let me know what the damage is so I can resolve this with you and also make sure that this doesn’t happen again for other customers.

How do you package your items?

Each kit is packaged in a A5 postal box that fits through a standard letterbox. Within the box, the smaller components are popped within a paper bag and tied with thread or yarn. I avoid using plastic in my packaging wherever possible. If any additional packaging is used it will either be eco friendly such as a biodegradable cello bags or reused eg bubble wrap that I have received items in.

If I buy more than one item will they be packaged together or separately?

Most of the time, I can fit two kits into one of the large letter A5 postal boxes I use as standard. Each kit will be packaged in a biodegradable cello bag so you know which bits belong to each kit. If you are ordering multiple kits as a gift and want them to each have their own box, please include a message in with your order and I will pack each kit in its own box and package the boxes together into one parcel.

Can you to send one of your items as a gift direct to the recipient?

I’d love to! Make sure that you add the recipient’s name and delivery address when you go through the checkout and add a note saying it is a gift and I’ll package it slightly differently. I’d also be happy to include a hand written message on your behalf in the package - if you’d like this just include the wording you want me to use in the notes section when you checkout or contact me as soon as possible after you place your order.

Do you accept commissions?

I accept commissions/custom orders, these are something bespoke, created to your specifications. Examples of commissions/custom orders I can undertake:

  • a finished version of one of the kit designs (if you love the design but want someone else to stitch it!)

  • a customised kit such as a different colour way

  • a bespoke kit for a brand new design

  • a commission based on the styles shown in my portfolio

I’d love to work with you to create a custom item, contact me with a brief of what you are looking for. I will work up some ideas and costs and a timeline and send them to you for review. Once the design has been approved I will request payment of 50% with the remaining 50% to be paid when the item is finished and ready to send to you.

Are you open to collaborations?

I’d love to collaborate with other creatives, get in touch and we can take it from there.

Do you run any workshops?

This is something I’m planning on offering in the future. I’d love to know what type of workshop you would be interested in so I can plan this in, drop me a message to let me know.
