Have you ever wanted to create an embroidery to celebrate a special occasion, like a wedding, birth of a new baby, birthday, anniversary, mother's day or another occasion? I'm delighted to announce that I now offer personalised embroidery kits custom designed for you.
Just choose your favourite flower and provide me with the text to be added such as name, date or favourite quote. After you approve your design, I'll send you the customised embroidery kit with the materials you need along with bespoke guidance ready for you to start stitching.
These personalised kits could make a great gift for a hard to buy person or for you to stitch yourself. The finished hoop can hang on a wall, sit on a shelf or make a gorgeous unique gift.
I want the personalisation process to be as simple as possible, so you choose:
A flower from the floral embroidery collection, there are currently 18 different flowers to pick from with a new one added each month
Block or script lettering (see the examples pictured)
The words you want added to your design, examples of text include a favourite quote, a name, a date
Once I have your order:
I'll create a design, normally within 24-48 hours, and send a copy of it to you for you to check
You let me know any changes, such as size, placement, spacing and I'll send you an updated version of the design
Once you have approved the design, I create the kit, including bespoke instructions for your design and pop it in the post to you within 24-48 hours of your approval
The whole process including the initial design, updated design, creation of the kit should take no longer than a week but could be quicker than this if no design changes are needed. I post all kits by Royal Mail second class post as standard, but there is the option to upgrade to 1st class. International postage is also available and shipping times can be variable so it is recommended to order as early as possible.
To make sure there is enough space for the text and the floral design, the kit will include a 6 inch embroidery hoop.
As well as the calico fabric you will stitch on, there will also be a piece of muslin backing fabric as this helps hide thread trails created when stitching lettering.
Full skeins of embroidery floss are provided to make sure you have more than enough thread to stitch all the floral elements and lettering.
A bespoke guidance booklet, created especially for your design includes the embroidery pattern and my suggestions of the best stitches to use in your project. And if you're a beginner it now comes packed with all my top tips to help you get started with embroidery.
To make the personalisation process as simple as possible, I only offer variations on flowers that are already available as kits, in my shop. There are currently 18 in total and new flowers will be added as options every 3 months.
At the moment, the personalised kit only includes one flower in the design.
However, if you are interested in commissioning a kit with a flower that isn't available or a combination of flowers, then please contact me about a commission and I can send you a quote.
To complete the project you will also need a pair of small sharp scissors which are not provided in the kit (but can be bought as an add-on via my Etsy shop.
