During lockdown I spent some time scanning in some of my old photos (taken before cameras went digital!) Twenty years ago I took a gap year and on that trip I took this photo in Portland, Oregon. It’s of the rose test gardens where they grow hundreds of varieties of roses. I’d not planned to go there, I’d gone for a walk in the park above the city and just came across it. Since that trip I always look for roses blooming in June.
This pattern has now retired from the free pattern programme, but you can purchase the pattern with guidance and support for just a few pounds over at my Etsy shop where you can also find the full kit with all the materials you need to stitch this project.
