The Prayer Plant or Maranta was one of the first houseplants I owned. I love the splash of colour it has on its veins and underside of the leaves.
This design combines traditional embroidery stitches with felt to create a contemporary, modern stitched artwork.
The stitches I recommend for this design are suitable for beginners or more experienced stitchers.
This listing is for an embroidery DIY kit which will arrive with you packaged in a A5 sized box (that fits straight through a standard letterbox).
The kit contains:
- a 6 inch embroidery hoop
- cotton backing fabric
- printed colour instruction booklet with step by step instructions for all stages of the project
- 100% cotton embroidery thread
- wool mix felt
- embroidery needle
- pins
To complete the project you will also need a pair of small sharp scissors which are not provided in the kit (but can be bought as an add-on via my Etsy shop.
