This design was inspired by the plant in my parents living room growing up - I was always fascinated by it's colloquial name (Mother-In-Law's Tongue). In this design I wanted to capture the detail that each of the long spikes of leaves have on them.
I love this design as it uses just two different embroidery stitches and combines these with felt to create a contemporary, modern stitched artwork.
The design consists of two different embroidery stitches (arrowhead stitch and whipped backstitch). These are stitches that you'll be able to tackle even if you've never tried embroidery before. It's a great kit whether you are a seasoned embroider or relatively new to picking up a needle, the colour support booklet will guide your through each of these stitches.
This listing is for an embroidery DIY kit which will arrive with you packaged in a A5 sized box (that fits straight through a standard letterbox).
