This is the perfect project to try as you can work on it at your own pace and learn a new skill and enjoy the mindful craft of embroidery. It makes the perfect gift for someone who enjoys crafts, a plant lover or a crafty plant lover!
This design was inspired by the elephant ear plant in my living room that has recovered from my initial overwatering and is producing new leaves. In this design I wanted to capture the amazing shapes and colours of this plant.
I love this design as it combines traditional embroidery stitches with felt to create a contemporary, modern stitched artwork.
The design consists of three different embroidery stitches (split stitch, whipped backstitch stitch, and needle weaving). These are stitches that are better to tackle if you have tried embroidery before but whether you are a seasoned embroider or relatively new to picking up a needle, the colour instruction booklet will guide your through each of these stitches.
This listing is for an embroidery DIY kit which will arrive with you packaged in a A5 sized box (that fits straight through a standard letterbox).
The kit contains:
